Behind every great product stands a team that keeps learning. Because we want to grow as a company and as a community that supports each other’s success, we see growth as a daily habit, not just a goal.
One way we do this is through feedback. It helps us learn, improve and stay connected. So when one of our colleagues led a Feedback Essentials session as part of our Learning & Development program, everyone was eager to join.
The learning session
The session was led by our colleague Alexandra Anochi and focused on giving and receiving feedback. While the idea may seem simple, many of us still find it challenging in practice.
We often worry about saying the wrong thing or taking it personally. Questions like, “How do I give feedback without upsetting someone?” and “How do I receive it without feeling criticized?” are ones we’ve all asked ourselves.
Alexandra’s approach turned the discussion into a shared experience. Using the BIS model (Behavior, Impact, Solution), she showed how to give feedback that is both clear and kind. Real examples and everyday situations made the ideas easy to follow and apply.
What stood out most was the spirit of the session. Feedback was seen as a gift that helps us grow. When given with care and received with openness, it becomes one of the strongest tools for learning.
Pieces of wisdom that stayed with us:
“I strongly believe in constructive feedback, not negative feedback. My advice is to see feedback as a gift, as an opportunity for growth and improvement. Without it, we would struggle to understand what we can do better or what we already do well, especially in a time when impostor syndrome affects so many high performers. When we give feedback with the intention to help and receive it with openness, it becomes one of the most powerful tools for personal growth and development.” – Alexandra Anochi, HR Manager.
Final thoughts:
Alexandra and the participants built a space where no question was too small or too complex. The Feedback Essentials session reminded us that real growth happens when feedback flows freely. It builds trust, sparks new ideas and keeps us moving forward as one team.
