Autumn eased in quietly: coffee cups filled more often, the office felt a little warmer, and sweaters replaced iced drinks. Someone pointed out that autumn is the only season where the world gets brighter while the days get darker. A fitting metaphor for a period that encouraged us to spend time together in meaningful ways.
The season brought a mix of initiatives that blended learning, connection, and celebration. Some were energetic and competitive, others reflective or hands-on, but collectively they highlighted how our culture strengthens when everyday work is paired with shared experiences.
Here’s a look at how the season took shape at DevHub.
Happy Fridays Across The Map
Each office has its own rhythm, but our Happy Fridays kept a consistent purpose: creating space for colleagues to connect outside their usual routines. This autumn’s editions ranged from tasting sessions to gaming tournaments, moving between quiet discovery and friendly competition. We closed the series with a cooking workshop where participants built burgers, mixed cocktails, and learned that lava cakes can be surprisingly unpredictable. Same idea every time: to end the week with something fun together.
Learning in Action
October marked the start of our L&D Days, an initiative built around one simple idea: learning grows stronger when it’s shared. What followed was a diverse mix of sessions led by our own colleagues, each bringing something different to the table. We had everything from tech explorations and soft-skills themes, to unexpected topics like vacation planning, hiking inspiration, Montessori principles, public speaking, QA flows, and even DJ basics. The variety said a lot about our team: there’s a whole world of knowledge here, and people are excited to pass it on.
Our First Town Hall
A major milestone this autumn was our first company-wide Town Hall, an important step toward creating a more connected company-wide dialogue. Led by DevHub’s leadership, the event brought colleagues together in Cluj and online for a transparent look at our direction as a company. We looked back at our accomplishments, talked about what’s next, and the Q&A portion gave everyone the chance to raise topics that matter to them. The atmosphere felt less like a formal meeting and more like a shared moment of alignment, the kind that helps everyone pull in the same direction.
A Hauntingly Good Time
Halloween introduced a different kind of energy into the office. Across all four locations, colleagues arrived in costumes that ranged from clever to spooky to delightfully unexpected. The Friday vibes shifted as soon as the first costume appeared: themed snacks, music, and a lighthearted costume contest kept the day lively. Even with a simple celebration like this, everyone joined in and had fun in their own style.
Operation: Know Us Better
As our team continues to grow, staying connected becomes more important than ever. That’s why we introduced Operation: Know Us Better, an initiative designed to shine a light on the people behind the work and the passions. The Design Team opened the series with a set of sessions that went far beyond design. From F1-inspired UX and filmmaking, to drumming, drawing, and even heraldry, it was a reminder of how multidimensional our colleagues truly are.
Celebrating 7 Years of DevHub
DevHub turned seven! What began as a small team with big ambitions, has grown into a national presence with four offices, a wide community of colleagues, and projects that have shaped who we are today. To celebrate, we hosted a Black & White Anniversary Party, turning one evening into a moment to look back at the milestones that shaped us. It was part celebration, part reflection, and a reminder that DevHub’s story is written by the people who choose to build it every day.
Looking Ahead
With so many moments packed into one season, these months reminded us how much can happen when people stay connected; whether they’re learning something new, celebrating a milestone, or simply sharing a good Friday together. Each initiative, big or small, added something to the rhythm of our teams.
discipline, and commit to continuous evolution. Transformation becomes meaningful only when it’s anchored in real needs and supported by real practices.
As we move into the next season, the energy we built this autumn stays with us: curiosity, openness, and the willingness to show up not just for the work, but for the community behind it. There’s plenty still ahead, and we’re excited to keep growing our story.
